Once you Pop, you just can't Stop!

“Green Tea has always been an utter loathing of mine;
But Popcorn Tea was something entirely different. The nutty aftertaste takes you for a trip at the movies, all the way until the smooth, and nicer-than-usual taste of the magnificent 'Green' of the tea. Bravo, Teapigs!”

“I am an avid tea drinker; black, white, green and some fruits/herbals. Tea Pigs by far the best. Popcorn is my absolute favourite - really need the boxes of 50 please.”

Love it!

* * * * * by • 6th February 2009

“I had to try this as it sounded so unusual, and I like unusual! I wasn't disappointed either; Sugar Puffs without the sweetness, mixed with popcorn, nuttiness and green tea. Perfect combo, even if it doesn't sound right!!”

An Unexpected Treat

* * * * * by • 28th November 2010

“First time I tried "genmaicha" was during a break in my ninjustsu class. The teacher served it in tiny little cups complimented with sugared Japanese rice cakes. It was amazing.

I thought I'd only find it again in an Asian Emporium, but lo and behold, Tea Pigs had it covered!

The green tea is very mild; no bitterness, unless over-brewed. The toasted rice and popcorn pieces add a mellow, nutty flavour to the mix. My mom tells me that adding sugar makes it taste like toffee popcorn? With or without sugar, it's a winner.”

Unique and flavourful

strange but true

“Don't know about you but I'm a sucker for something new and so popcorn tea was always going to appeal. But would it taste any good? I wasn't sure, so I got myself a test pack of 3 bags, and the truth is it works brilliantly, I kind of expected not to like it but I loved it. On one level it tastes pretty much as you'd expect, tea and popcorn, but on another level that doesn't do it justice, its much more delicate and refreshing than you'd think. Definitely worth giving it a go.”

Popcorn Tea

* * * * * by Beth • 26th January 2016

“I like the taste of this tea. There is a roasted nut smell to it and it does taste nice. This was a freebie sample so thought I would give it a try and pleasantly surprised with it. I will definitely buy this product but am aware that it's not everyone's cup of tea.”

This is now my snack

Such a tasty blend!

“I really love this one, it's such an unusual tea and it has a light taste of popcorn, but not the kind you get at a movie theater. It has become a staple in my cupboard and my morning routine. Toasty, warm and lovely!”

Strangely addictive

* * * * * by • 23rd February 2007

“When I first tried this tea I wasn't sure if I liked it, but then kept thinking about it and craving the taste. Are you sure it contains nothing stronger than tea?! It has a distinct, almost savoury taste and I would highly recommend trying it as you may just find that you love it!”

delicious light and refreshing

* * * * * by • 7th May 2009

“This tastes just like the tea I used to drink in Japan. It has a lovely ricey overtone which makes it not as tart as a green tea and I love that you can just keep topping it up with hot water and the subtle flavor is still there. My favourite green tea!”

Grows On You!

* * * * * by • 18th March 2011

“This is my first teapigs order - I ordered the piglets pack! The popcorn tea being one of the ones I was most intregued with, I decided to try it first. The first couple of sips I took I disliked it, but as I drank deeper into the cup the texture and taste changed, subtly. This is a lovely tea, and the smell from the bag as it is brewing is gorgeous - I must admit it made me feel rather hungry!”

* * * * * by Zi • 22nd May 2014

“It smells of crackers and green tea. Delicious. It tastes exactly like you'd expect it to, like the first sip of fine green tea straight after eating a rice cake.”

* * * * * by Ian Ward • 17th January 2019

“To be honest I have bought the Popcorn tea as a gift for my wife as she couldn't buy it at her usual store anymore. She was delighted with her gift. I generally drink the more common 'branded ' tea and occasionally will have a Mint tea. However, whilst making this Popcorn tea for my wife, I found the smell of the tea wonderful and treated myself to a mug of it.
Absolutely delicious! I'm hooked. Unfortunately my wife is now having to share her tea with me. Lol!”

Finally a green tea for me

* * * * * by • 30th March 2007

“I ordered a few different teas from Louise and Nick to find out what was behind some of the fancy names. To be honest, had I noticed that the Popcorn tea was green tea, I would probably not have bought it as I don't like green tea. Or better, I did not like green tea. The combination of green tea with the slightly nutty popcorn taste works fantastically well for me. So much so, that I am annoyed that I only ordered the tasting pack, as I have only 1 temple left :o(”

Weirdly tasty!

* * * * * by • 16th July 2009

“Like several other reviewers I am not the most adventurous when it comes to tea - if I'm feeling crazy I might have a cup of ceylon. But having visited my local deli and discovered tea pigs, I am now working my way through the taster tins! I was a bit cautious about the popcorn tea as black tea is my thing really, but it is really tasty, all toasty and nutty, and am seriously thinking about putting in a BIG order. Taste is at first delicate, and then the rice flavour hits, leaving you with that lingering sugar puffs effect...yummy, but also healthy, which is how I like my sustenance!!”

Lovely Green Tea with Nice Taste (for once)

* * * * * by • 25th March 2011

“I bought a sample of this green tea and it is rather pleasant to drink. The colour is more yellow than subtle green, and has a nice nut like flavour unlike other green teas, however the leaf in the bag is whole and is in my opinion very good quality. The popcorn is deffinatley a compliment to the tea rather than just a novetly. I would reccommend this highly - would not expect any less from teapigs.”

Poptastic mate

Shredded wheat anyone?

* * * * * by Steve • 22nd April 2016

“I love this tea. To me it smells more like shredded wheat than sugar puffs. I'm not a big fan of shredded wheat but the tea is lovely and comforting. The nutty, wheaty edge gives you the same comfort as calories but without the calories. And it tastes great. Pity it's not available in loose form as well as teabags, but you can't have everything :)”

Like Japan in a cup :)

* * * * * by Steph • 1st February 2019

“Having been to Japan, I miss the taste of their green teas and haven’t found a nice Genmaicha at home. However, this has now changed; what a lovely tea!
It literally smells of popcorn when brewed but the taste is lovely and subtle. Very much takes me to a happy place :)”

* * * * * by • 11th April 2007

“I have just been introduced to teapigs tea by my friend and have rushed home to place my order for the popcorn variety! It's a fantastic quality green tea with a comforting twist. My first impression of the name made me think it might be sweet and artificial tasting but I was oh so wrong! Simply yummy and an all natural taste.”

Rice and shine

* * * * * by • 3rd August 2009

I've had traditional Japanese rice tea in restaurants before, and have always loved it. And to have it at home...I've stop drinking coffee in the mornings because I crave for popcorn tea when I wake up.

It's refreshing, and the taste of toasted rice with the green tea gives it a unique taste that even my boyfriend, who is generally green tea hater no. 1 can now be seen loitering around the sitting room with a cuppa.

Ever have days when you feel you're not drinking enough liquids? Get your hands on popcorn tea and you needn't to worry again.”

* * * * * by Mark Leach • 11th October 2011

“Genmai is one of my favourite green teas and I'm always on the look out for different varieties. This is a fantastic example - warming and mellow and goes brilliantly with food.

Interesting that it's labelled as 'Popcorn tea' - I hope this will help introduce the wonders of genmaicha to people that otherwise wouldn't have stumbled on it.”

Green tea without the clippings...

* * * * * by • 18th August 2009

“I have to say that I had given up on green teas a few years back. I read all the articles to say how good it was for you, so really wanted to like it, but every time I tried some it just tasted like stewed grass clippings, and I simply couldn't face 'getting used' to it. But once again Teapigs have restored my faith in tea.

Popcorn tea is absolutely DELICIOUS!!!

It is light and refreshing and after my first cup I could quite happily drink gallons of it! It has a lovely nutty taste with a delicate green tea undertone. My husband even says it smells like toasted sesame seeds. I'm hooked.
Three cheers for Teapigs...hoorah!!”

Yummy in my tummy. :)

Adore this tea!

* * * * * by Genevieve Miles • 5th May 2016

“The first time I tried this tea was at Glastonbury Festival, 2014 and I have been hooked ever since!
The delicate taste of the popcorn gives the tea a very light sweet, nutty taste which takes the edge off the green tea (a flavour I find too strong on it's own). This tea is definitely a 'love it or hate it' tea but I find it really refreshing and tasty. My favourite of all the teas at teapigs.”

Unique taste - sweet or savory!

* * * * * by • 12th October 2007

“I've never tried tea like this before - not a fan of green tea but these are great! Not so much of a popcorn taste - more like rice crackers or if you add a bit of sugar, it tastes like sugar puffs which is quite nice too! Makes a nice change - I'll buy this one again! :-)”

Sounds strange but it's great.

“While the prospect of having popcorn tea may make some people turn their noses up, I decided to try it anyway. The only way to describe it is green tea with a slight popcorn after taste, but not the terrible cinema popcorn! It's simply amazing, my second favorite tea, second to peppermint :)”

A savoury treat

* * * * * by • 27th February 2008

“This is the first tea from my order that I tried. It smells amazing; like perfectly popped popcorn and the faintest trace of green tea.

Brewed, it's a wonderfully light, savoury drink. It does taste of popcorn (the plain kind; not the movie theatre kind) but it also reminded me of something I couldn't place. My brother managed to identify it: shredded wheat.

Now, for other gluten-free people out there, rest assured that this is gluten free (I checked; thanks again, Nick!). But if you miss the taste of shredded wheat cereal like me, you have got to try this! I'd recommend it to anyone, really, because it's so unusual to find a tea that feels almost like a snack. It fools your tastebuds and is very refreshing.”

Yum yum popcorn tea!

* * * * * by • 1st December 2009

“Lovely blend of delicate jasmine tea and popcorn. The jasmine gives it a dry taste which is lifted by the warm, nutty popcorn. A very Japanese tea - perfect for after dinner digestif or anytime during the day. This tea won't blow your head off like some, so if you are in the mood for something comforting and light, give this a try.”

Such a nice tea!

“The first thing you notice about this tea as it brews in a mug is the wonderful toasty smell!So delicious! When you sip this green tea it doesn't have the bitter aftertaste that you get with some green tea. You must try this if you love tea :)”

Will definitely be buying some in my next order and would recommend anyone try a taster pack, you may be surprised too.”

“This was the first Teapigs tea I'd ever tried and to this day, it is still my favourite tea ever. There's nothing else like it on the market. Let it brew for a good few minutes and the aftertaste is truly like popcorn, yet is still fresh due to it being green tea. Please do a big size of this tea, Teapigs!!”

Tealiciously Fantastic

“Is there another tea flavour worth reviewing? Maybe breakfast tea, and the Oolong's nice, but if I could only take one tea to a dessert island Popcorn Tea would be it. Described to me as Sugar Puffs in a cup (without the sugar) - this tea is the most delicious I've ever tasted. EVER. I can never get enough of it - a pint at a time (yes, I have a mug that holds that much tea). Don't you ever stop making this beautiful brew, Teapigs!”

Wierd but wonderful

* * * * * by • 24th June 2008

“Very strange! You get the tea then wham you get the "popcorn" flavour - and it so does taste like it says on the tin! (okay then box). Its wierd but strangly wonderful. Great for when you're feeling peckish too - it stops me reaching for a mid-afternoon biccy...

Its not a flavour I could drink cup after cup, but it's great as an alternative when you want something a little more adventurous / different.”

Great for something different

“I am a big fan of Chai teas, and rarely drink anything else, but I was intrigued by the popcorn tea concept and thought I'd give it a try. It was delicious - not too overpowering, but a distinct nutty flavour. Rich yet light at the same time. Very fragrant, too!”

My Favourite

“Ive always had a 'thing' for pop corn, and i am an avid tea drinker, whether it be bog standard tea or green tea or fruit tea. My dad bought me this one year for Christmas mainly as a joke due to my love for both popcorn and tea; and well, the joke is on him as i cant get enough of this stuff! Would definitely recommend this tea for those of you trying to cut out popcorn but still want that kick!”

Popcorn Tea

* * * * * by • 13th August 2008

“My tea taste has always been rather modest and unexciting, however i was in my local deli and found teapigs the name caught me immediately, i laughed out to my self, earning some strange look of which embarrassingly enough are not uncommon to me

i scuttled my self over to these "Teapigs" which instantly reminded me of an ex-girlfriend who always pestered me with these "fancy teas".

As i was browsing i came across popcorn tea i though i misread it at first on a glance but no some mad tea boffin had claimed the most outrageous tea, i picked it up and wondered over to the counter and purchased my first teapigs and also my first "fancy tea" i scurried home chuckling to my self whilst getting those looks again.

Brewing this tea i was immediately hit by the aroma of popcorn i was quite shocked i tasted it and was like pure unflavored popcorn i was awestruck, i thought it was a bit less sweet than i imagined so i added honey and there it was me hooked on tea,

5 stars,”

Fun & Scrumptious!

* * * * * by • 24th August 2010

“A different, delicious tea. It's sort of like having green tea and rice cakes together, and works brilliantly. There's also the novelty of seeing puffed rice in with the tea leaves, which is fun. I like to let mine infuse for quite a while to truly bring out the rice flavour.”

First impressions are not everything

* * * * * by • 27th August 2010

“Your first cup of this little jem will not leave you wanting more but continue drinking and you will start to appriciate the rich, nutty taste of this tea.

Why should I drink it?
>Health nut? Perfect skinny alternative to actual popcorn whilst watching the movies, and it has all the health benifits of green tea
>Sceptic? Just because you dont like "weird" teas dosent mean you wont like this beauty...It has a deep, rich, sweet and nutty flavour. Hey, you only live once so give this a go.

But I dont LIKE Green teas
Dont worry, this dosent taste anything like green tea! If you want to detox but cant stomach green tea then this is perfect because it has all the health benifits of green tea but with a sweet and nutty taste anyone can enjoy.”

Green tea convert!

* * * * * by Gail • 3rd May 2012

“I must admit that I bought this out of sheer curiosity as to what it could possibly be like ... I don't normally enjoy green tea at all! This, however, has changed my mind. It's flavoursome enough that it makes a tasty treat, while still being light and fresh even if brewed strong; very satisfying, and quite energising. I've been drinking this strong as an evening pick-me-up while doing uni work, and it's doing the job well!”

“Bit of an odd concept but a cute backstory behind the flavours of this tea!

Im not usually a tea drinker - but I tried this on a whim and found it entirely enjoyable !

A toasty nutty flavour with a bit of green tea bitterness in the background - its really yummy and could be considered to have a slight hint towards savoury (possibly !)

The popcorn flavour is obviously from plain style kernels its really odd but worth a go!”

Popcorn tea??.....that's just got to be terrible - think I'll try it!!!!

* * * * - by • 24th November 2006

“Well how wrong could I be? The name definately does not do it justice. I was expecting a sweet, maybe even sickly sweet, taste but actually it's very subtle with a lovely mellow under-taste of slightly roasted corn (I know it's rice but I've never tasted roasted rice!!). A good alternative to all those boring supermarket teas.”

LOVE IT, but not popcorn.

“Tasted not at all like i had imagined with a name like "Popcorn" but i must say it was enjoyable and doesn't have that bitterness that the usual Green tea has. I will be trying it again soon”

Odd but good

* * * * - by Claire D'Arcy • 11th October 2012

“This is an odd combination. The smell is very strong - like Sugar Puffs! the taste is less strong but it still has plenty to say for itself - more rice cakes than popcorn but surprisingly good. Makes a nice light after dinner drink. We only bought a sample pack but will be back for more.”

Takes some getting used to...but Awesome!

“It tastes weird at first but then you start to crave it!
It's so nice!”

this is basically Genmaicha

* * * * - by Alice Cheung • 29th April 2018

“I didn't know this is genmaicha until I received a sample and tried it for the first time. I am a lover of genmaicha when I lived in Japan. Regarding this popcorn tea, I think the taste of green tea is fantastic but a bit overpowering here. Not really sweet enough to be called genmaicha.”

Sorry, this had me gagging

* * * - - by • 19th October 2009

“Just when I thought Teapigs could produce nothing I didn't like along came this little 'gem'. Absolutely 100% not to my taste, in fact the biggest memory it brought back was of cleaning out the chicken shed on a windy day.

To others it may be the bees knees, but I'm donating my remaining tea temples to charity!”

Not very popcorny

* * * - - by Joanna Joss • 16th November 2012

“I'm not really that keen on this one. It's drinkable but not what I expected at all. It's more like a nut flavour tea than a popcorn one. Not horrible, but just not as good as the rest.”

Love the smell, wish it was a bit sweeter though!

* * * - - by • 10th April 2009

“Once i ordered this i simply could not wait for it to arrive as the reviews i'd read made it seem so good.

I was hoping this would be a lovely popcorn-esque tasting tea but alas, it was not quite as sweet as i hoped it would be (I actually found the taste to be a little bitter but perhaps i let it brew for too long)

Nonetheless though, i give it a three because i think a small amount of honey or sugar and i'll be smiling :)”

“It certainly tastes like green tea with popcorn in it, but I'm not sure if I like that fact or not. The green tea was good, the popcorn taste was ... odd, it did make me want actual popcorn too.

Overall, an odd taste that I might try again, after I've tried some of the other odd teas fist tho.”

Nice for occaisional use

* * * - - by Sarah • 26th March 2013

“I wouldn't drink it every day, but I think for occasional use it is quite nice for when you want a very savoury taste.”

* * * - - by • 31st October 2009

“i bought this because i have a popcorn addiction but it wasnt for me.maybe an aquired taste.love teapigs tho.”

OK... But not my fave

* * * - - by Jo • 9th April 2012

“This one I thought was OK, there is a definite popcorn/nuttiness to it, but I didnt feel much refreshment in it. Did not dislike it, but there are other teapigs above this one on my fave list.”

wonderfully weird

* * * - - by Melinda • 14th May 2013

“odd really, it is like smelling rice crackers, but i have enjoyed it and takes away the sweet craving i almost constantly have, worth a try but maybe not the favorite of the bunch!”

Not for me

* * - - - by Charlie • 23rd April 2016

“I brought a sample of this tea due to the reviews - seems like people either love it or hate it.

I was able to drink it, but it was an acquired taste which I felt I couldn't get used to. Also didn't like the smell; burnt popcorn. Going back to normal green tea!”

Not my cup of tea :(

* * - - - by Mel • 26th October 2016

“I hate saying any negative about Teapigs because I think they're bloomin' brilliant. However this popcorn tea is not for me. I found the wheaty / popcorny smell too strong for me and I didn't enjoy the overall taste of the tea. I'm certain some people will LOVE this tea, but I think I'll return to my Rooibos. Not sure what I'll do with my 14 other temples...will have to search the office for another tea-lover xx”

Pop Corn tea - not for me.

* * - - - by • 17th June 2008

“I just wish that this was not green tea as Ibelieve the flavour would have been soo wonderful had it been black.
But that is my personnal preference and as green teas go this is the best one I have had so far and the teapig tea is so much nicer than the supermarket green tea i have had previously so i cannot Knock it to much.

I wondered whether or not to put this comment on here but oh well you can see what i weird mind I have because i'm going to - The beautiful shredded wheat smell made me want to plonk my bag in my face sauna and smell it all day.”

O.K taste bad smell

“I couldn't get past the bad smell. Taste was OK but nothing special.”

Sorry, Popcorn Tea!

* - - - - by Emma Hardy • 29th October 2012

“I had a complimentary Popcorn Tea tea temple sent to me when I bought some Matcha recently and the only way I can describe the smell, is the same as when you've applied fake tan at night, then that biscuity smell wafts up the bed. Unpleasant. Sorry!”

Not my cup of tea

* - - - - by Jane • 11th January 2016

“Saw this in a local cafe who stock a wide range of Teapigs and decided I'd give it a whirl. Thought it had the most peculiar taste that I can't quite put my finger on, almost like seaweed and nuts?! Definitely not a popcorn flavour. Will stick to your delicious peppermint tea from now on.”

Oh dear

* - - - - by • 10th March 2009

“I have to say, I really wanted to like this one, but - yuck! It wasn't for me. I didn't get the nice popcorny taste that everyone else seems to, for me, it smelt of mouldy shredded wheat/cabbage! I thought maybe this was because I had brewed it for too long, but alas, on the second try I still wasn't impressed. Sorry teapigs!”

Avoid if you "require"strong flavour"

* - - - - by Gus Murdoch • 8th June 2012

“Whilst I do like a strong & pronounced flavour brew (even amongst fruit teas) & leave the bag in throughout the drinking stage this just fell way short of any line for us.
Both wife & I loved the scent straight out of the box but felt that despite a good 5 minutes to steep & left in throughout there was very little there in terms of flavour.
Ok the scent it gave off was as described, very sugar-puffs overtones but upon tasting wholly disappointing.
Warm water with no flavour for these tasters! ..we won't be trying this again.

My advice: brew well to eke out the flavour, but avoid if your taste buds are less than perfect lest you be disappointed.”

Oh dear....

* - - - - by Amanda • 20th November 2012

“I love Teapigs tea with a passion but this one.... oh my goodness its awful! The smell is revolting, it made me feel sick, and the taste is of nothing much - its ok so long as you hold your nose. I'm really sorry Teapigs - I did try, but never again!”

Popcorn tea

* - - - - by Emily • 4th May 2014

“Sorry to say I was very disappointed, its probably an acquired taste, didn't taste like popcorn to me at all, and neither smelled nor tasted nice to me. I will stick with my matcha and Rooibos crème caramel tea I think. However, don't let this deter you from trying it, you may love it, it just didn't suit me.”

Tastes burnt

* - - - - by Z.F • 5th April 2016

“I was highly disappointed with this tea, for the price I expected a lot more. Having tasted toasted tea before, this had a very strong burnt taste that stayed on the tongue after drinking. The intensity of the green tea caused the burnt taste to be even more bitter and unpleasant which no amount of sugar could disguise. Not pleased.”

* - - - - by Viv • 7th August 2012

“Not for me ordered 2 packs to be included in my mix box. Tried one and couldn't drink it. I was so looking forward to tasting it. Ilove my peppermint tea. Still got lots to taste in my mixed box of teas.”

* - - - - by Rosamond Watling • 22nd February 2013

“Sorry Teapigs, I love your tea, just not this one! The smell was vile and the taste reminiscent of a cross between rice cakes and cardboard”

Tastes like feet

* - - - - by Emma • 10th March 2019

“It tastes like someone’s scrubbed their feet to get rid of the dead skin, collected it up, mixed it with white tea, infused it and served it up in a cup.”

Not my cup of tea

* - - - - by Hatz • 7th March 2013

“I received a free sample of popcorn tea when I purchased the matcha tea. I was quite excited to try it out, but as soon as I put it in a mug with hot water, the smell was just too overwhelming. It put me off the tea straight away. I did try a couple of sips, but literally poured it all down the sink after that. From all the other reviews it seems like its a tea that you either love or hate.”

@ Emma's review

* - - - - by Alex • 24th March 2019

“How you know what feet taste like 😂”

Not for me

* - - - - by Lizzie Moon • 29th January 2012

“Really tried to like this one based on other reviews raving about it but couldn't bring myself to drink more than a sip. Smelled like popcorn which was slightly off-putting and tasted like very watery popcorn. I suppose you get what it says on the tin but ugh- it was just horrible! I tried it with and without milk and sugar and just could not make it palette-able. Shame as I am a big Teapigs lover!!”

Weird and unpleasant

* - - - - by Sam • 23rd February 2017

“Did not like this at all. The smell was really quite strange, like hops or old porridge. The taste was worse. This tea had me questioning my life. I never thought a drink could cause an existential crisis until I tried popcorn tea.”

Not for Me!

* - - - - by Carol • 21st January 2015

“Great fan of TeaPigs tea, drink them all the time, but received this one in the post from you this morning - so disappointed, I find the smell of it off-putting and the "burnt' taste lingers on the back of my toungue for ages - won't be buying this one again, wish I'd bought the tester pack instead of 15 pack.”

Thanks but No Thanks

* - - - - by Maria Berry • 24th April 2013

“Got this as a cool freebie in my first order. I loved Louise's description of the tea and brewed up straight away.

Alas, the teabag smells awful without a hint of sweetness (not so much Sugar Puffs as seniors' pee). Undeterred, I pressed on, allowing it to infuse and cool slightly. The taste isn't as offensive as the smell but is more like I accidentally dropped my savoury rice crackers in my cuppa.

I tried two or three mouthfuls to make sure it wasn't going to grow on me, It pains me greatly to admit that I poured it down the sink :(”

* - - - - by Skinny Bouvier Beale • 28th September 2012

“Sorry not for me, am a huge teapigs fan but this one left me feeling a bit sick! Conjured up images of my toddlers soggy rice cakes in a pot. Yuk!”

Not my cup of tea

* - - - - by Emelia Smith • 8th May 2013

“I ordered samples of this tea because it sounded interesting. The smell was quite nice but I didn't enjoy the taste. It left my mouth feeling kind of dry.. I'm sure for others it would be nice. Definitely if you like nutty flavours. It smells exactly like popcorn.”

* - - - - by Summer Khan • 4th October 2012

“I'm sorry but this is awful!

It tastes like old popped corn floating in green tea... Very unpleasant.”

Popcorn????!.... erg

* - - - - by Emily • 5th October 2015

“Sorry Teapigs, but you missed the spot with this one. It doesn't taste at all like popcorn, and, frankly, it's vile. It smelt like warm cardboard..... didn't taste much better. I will stick with your Rooibos, Silver tips and Matcha, which are all fantastic. Sorry, but 'popcorn' tea is just not 'my cup of tea' .”

Uuummmpppphhh :(

* - - - - by Louise Prophet • 17th October 2012

“Sorry teapigs this one isn't for me ... the smell alone put me off ... never got round to drinking it :o(
Ho Hum - that is what the sample packs are for ...”

* - - - - by Harad • 1st December 2015

“I really love teapig tea and decided to try something a bit different. I love green tea and I love popcorn so I thought this would be awesome! unfortunately it wasn't :( the only way i can describe it is that it tasted and smelt like a popcorn carton the you would get popcorn in at the cinema. I did finish the mug because it wasn't revolting but I would have preferred to have just drunk hot water. Its a shame because I now have 14 bags that will live a sad life in the back of my cupboard, poor piggys!”
