Event number seven on the teapigs Real Tea Tour was the Taunton Flower Show.

Having lived in Taunton for a combined 33 years we have never previously attended the show. In our naivety we heard “Flower Show” and envisaged chrysanthemums and antihistamines, we are pleased to say that we were very much mistaken!

The 2 days were jam packed with events including a Children’s fancy dress parade, Dog and Duck show and Stunts from the Stampede Stunt Company. Vivary Park was transformed and barely recognisable with various displays, trade stands and arenas all dotted around the site.

The competition tent was packed with the best of the best; fruit, vegetables and crafts by local schools. The tent was busy throughout the whole 2 days and having quizzed some of the contestants who purchased a brew, we understood the pride at stake!

Morris Men and Live bands played throughout the day, there was always something to do (besides enjoying a delicious brew)!

BBC Somerset were present covering the show alongside various other radio stations including Musgrove’s own Apple AM (converts to the Matcha way of life!).

It was great to see a wide variety of high quality food companies in the food tent including Bloomberry Juice who we met at LLAMA - check out their Cloud Lime it contains Matcha!

The organisation of the event was brilliant, a loudspeaker kept everyone up-to-date with events around the site in addition to announcing some “lost husbands”. We were well looked after by all of the people involved with the show and we hope to be back at the Taunton Flower Show next year!
